Consumers as well as governments around the world are demanding more sustainable business practices. In the coming months and years there will be more legislation, public pressure and media attention on these issues. An increasing number of the world’s biggest companies are also insisting that their suppliers follow strict sustainability standards – this directly affects the core of Scotland’s economy – small and medium businesses. Communicating sustainability is now a core ask of most marketing and communications departments, teams and agencies.
Communications and marketing can be the strategic lead for the way a business or organisation uses sustainability to grow its brand, increase profits, engage consumers and demand loyalty. Do you want to be at the forefront of the transition to Scotland’s circular, sustainable and low carbon economy? Take the lead and join us for a hands-on workshop and mini-hackathon where we’ll ask how we can deliver better comms for a real business and unlock the potential of selling sustainability.
Well-known Scottish dairy business Mackie’s will set the scene and present a sustainability-related scenario that’s live for them. Attendees from the PR, marketing, business and public sectors will then roll up their sleeves and gain practical experience through an ensuing ‘hackathon,’ where we’ll work in teams to develop a campaign idea to be judged by a dragons’ den panel of leading business, communications and sustainability players.
This event is aimed primarily at those who work in communications, PR and marketing either at agencies or in-house in local and national government, business and the third sector. Others who would benefit from attending and whose contributions would be valuable include technical sustainability specialists, creatives, those working in organisations with a sustainability focus and sustainability/communications PhDs and post-docs.
A full agenda with panel speakers and dragons will be avaiable shortly. If you have any questions or are not sure if you should attend please get in touch with us at email@example.com
This event is aimed at PR, marketing and comms professionals and limited tickets are available, it is FREE to attend but we reserve the right to amend the guest list to include the right mix of backgrounds and skills on the day. Please get in touch if you have any questions about who should attend.
