Energy Saving Trust through the Scottish Government funded sustainable energy supply chain programme is organising an innovation event in Glasgow on 20 March 2018. This brief outlines the overall purpose of the event, intended target audience, expected format and topics covered.
The purpose of this event is to stimulate an interest in the latest innovative energy efficiency and renewable products and services amongst Scottish buyers and suppliers in support of the Scottish Government’s ambition to decarbonise Scotland’s energy system and reduce fuel poverty. This is particularly relevant as:
1. Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Programme (SEEP) has an emphasis on innovation.
2. Our own research1 shows suppliers find it difficult to keep up to date with new technologies.
In order to achieve this, the event is expected to include the following key elements:
Knowledge share of innovative approaches to retrofit work and best practice through project case studies.
Showcasing of the most up-to-date and commercially available energy efficiency and renewable products.
Networking opportunities to stimulate collaborative relationships that could underpin the development of new approaches to energy efficiency retrofit.
The event would also seek to involve as many Scottish based suppliers as possible.
