SME EnviroApp – Finalists Announced
The SMEEnviroApp Competition was launched on March 12, on the first day of Climate Week 2012 by Environment Minister Stewart Stevenson at a meeting of Scotland’s 2020 Climate Group, a coalition established to help meet the ambitious target of a 42 per cent reduction in carbon emissions by 2020.
The App, which will be free to download, aims to assist Scottish SMEs to measure, manage, and reduce carbon emissions – and play a part in achieving the 2020 targets.
Now, more than 3 months later the Competition has reached its final stages. The judging panel met on the 14th June to determine the six finalists who will go on to compete for the £50k winner’s prize fund and Microsoft Technology Challenge Prize in the finals in August.
The six finalists of the SMEEnviroApp Competition are:
- 1Part Carbon
- Edinburgh’s Festivals
- EnviroDigital
- Ewgeco
- Greenoak
- Linknode
