The EVent: Powering Scotland through Electric Vehicle Technology

The EVent will start with a presentation on the EV trial at Jewel & Esk and work outwards into a general discussion about how we can make the breakthrough from demonstration projects into large-scale adoption of EVs - and whether the public can grow to love EVs. There will be round-table discussions after the opening presentations to discuss key challenges and suggest solutions.

Waste: A new approach

A Holyrood magazine event. Scotland has some of the most ambitious targets for recycling waste in the developed world. At present there are seventeen million tonnes of waste produced in Scotland every year. New measures, set out by the Scottish Government in October 2011, aim to ensure that Scotland changes the way it deals with waste and creates a zero waste economy.
