Retrofit Scotland launched
John Sheridan, co-chair of the 2020 Built Environment group, reports on the launch of a new initiative to promote energy efficiency.
We’ve finally done it !
After being asked a few years ago by a householder: “I’m really keen to do my bit about Climate Change but where do I go for information that tells me how to reduce my heating bills and yet maintain my property in a sustainable way?” – I was delighted to be at the launch of Retrofit Scotland at the Base Glasgow Conference on Tuesday.
As Chair of the 2020 Built Environment Sub Group it was a joy to witness a spontaneous round of applause from the audience when the web site went live at lunch time.
This was indeed a free lunch with a difference.
I can’t thank all of my colleagues enough for their perseverance and determination to get this new resource up and running.
Let’s make it grow into an even greater success, freely available to all.
Congratulations.
